Maestro Christoph Poppen, founder and Artistic Director of the Marvão International Music Festival, features in a recent special report by SIC Notícias, focusing on internationally renowned figures who have chosen the Alentejo as a place to live and create.

In his interview, Christoph Poppen reflects on how Marvão became part of his life — or, as he puts it in the programme, how Marvão found him. He also speaks about the origins of the Festival and the wish to bring music to this extraordinary place, as a way of giving something back to the local community and to the Alentejo region.
