The Castelo de Marvão has been awarded the national prize for Best Venue at the 10th edition of the Iberian Festival Awards.

The distinction recognises the castle as one of the leading concert venues in Portugal. Located in the historic village of Marvão, the site hosts several performances of the Marvão International Music Festival (FIMM).

In previous years, the Iberian Festival Awards have recognised FIMM in various categories. In this year’s edition, the festival was also nominated for Best Small Festival, Best Tourism Promotion, Best Cultural Programme, Best Festival Photography and Best Video Coverage.

The Iberian Festival Awards, presented as part of Talkfest – Music Fest Summit, bring together professionals from across the Iberian Peninsula and recognise achievements in areas including cultural impact, innovation and audience experience.
