The Marvão International Music Festival is run on a non-profit basis by a charitable Association.

Every year, we need to raise significant funding from private individuals, companies and foundations, to help supplement the revenue from ticket sales. We aim to keep ticket prices as low as possible, so that everyone can have the opportunity to attend our concerts and events.

Your support will help us to:

· Present around 40 events each Festival, bringing world-class performers to Marvão as well as showcasing some of Portugal’s leading artists

· Host an annual Festival Orchestra, which allows talented amateur musicians to learn side-by-side with a professional orchestra and even perform at one of several public concerts

· Celebrate the incredible cultural heritage and biodiversity of Marvão and the surrounding area, through a series of talks and exhibitions

It takes a very dedicated team, as well as dozens of volunteers each year, to put on the Festival – please join us in sharing great classical music – and the wonders of Marvão – with as many people as possible.
